hannah + patrick engagement

Last weekend I drove down to Crowder’s Mountain to meet Hannah and Patrick for a fun fall engagement session. The trees were showing off their autumnal glory and we were planning on taking full advantage because the trails were decently long for a photo session. Then we caught wind of a small trail on the other side of the welcome center called “backside trail” that was a “ten minute hike” with incredible views of the whole Charlotte skyline for the top. We all immediately agreed we were in.

Now I don’t know if I am just super out of shape or if someone straight up lied to me because this “simple” hike almost killed me. I definitely had to pull over on the side at least 5x while climbing, and then had to take a 20 minute break when we finally made it to the top.

I had no idea I’d be climbing mountains and exercising more than I have all year in the matter of 2 hours, but the photos were definitely worth it.

I am so excited to share these beauties and even more excited to shoot Hannah and Patrick’s wedding in Virginia in 2019!

griffin family

I’ve known Bridget since college, but seeing her now is like seeing a different person. Seeing her as a mother is such a beautiful thing and even more an honor to photograph. She now lives in Virginia with her husband and daughter so we met in between, in Greensboro for this session. It was a sweet afternoon catching up and visiting my old stomping grounds. So thankful for old friends, fall leaves, and the Greensboro Arboretum.
