hannah + patrick engagement

Last weekend I drove down to Crowder’s Mountain to meet Hannah and Patrick for a fun fall engagement session. The trees were showing off their autumnal glory and we were planning on taking full advantage because the trails were decently long for a photo session. Then we caught wind of a small trail on the other side of the welcome center called “backside trail” that was a “ten minute hike” with incredible views of the whole Charlotte skyline for the top. We all immediately agreed we were in.

Now I don’t know if I am just super out of shape or if someone straight up lied to me because this “simple” hike almost killed me. I definitely had to pull over on the side at least 5x while climbing, and then had to take a 20 minute break when we finally made it to the top.

I had no idea I’d be climbing mountains and exercising more than I have all year in the matter of 2 hours, but the photos were definitely worth it.

I am so excited to share these beauties and even more excited to shoot Hannah and Patrick’s wedding in Virginia in 2019!

Chris + James

This has got to be one of my top 3 favorite shoots of all time. Between the people, the location, the lighting, the colors, the looks - it all gets me right in the feels. James is another high school friend I had the pleasure of photographing and he and his fiancé, Chris, only radiate happiness and love. I truly believe that when people truly love each other you can tell in photographs and these two are no exception. They were such a joy to photography and made my job totally easy. So excited to finally share these photos and I hope you guys love them as much as I do!

Olivia + Jake

Legitimately stoked to have been able to shoot one of my high school friends almost ten years later! It's such a great feeling to see your friends so happy and in love. Olivia and Jake are perfect for each other and their love shined through in all of these photographs. Congratulations to you both!
